How long as Skyler Loyd been active?
Skyler Loyd’s musical journey began at a young age, evolving alongside his early experiences in film production as a 2nd Assistant Camera. This dual exposure allowed Loyd to bridge his passions, seamlessly integrating visual storytelling with musical composition. His debut release, an EP titled 5AM, came out in June 2015, marking the beginning of a prolific period in which he wrote hundreds of songs spanning screen scores, collaborative projects, and personal artistic pursuits.
Loyd is best known for his abstract, contemporary classical album The Earth Opened Wide, released in August 2020. The album showcases his unique ability to blend evocative soundscapes with intricate compositions, solidifying his place within modern classical music circles and expanding his influence in both music and film.

Skyler Loyd, born Jacob Lacey on December 11th 2000 in Farmington, New Mexico, United States.
Growing up on a farm with a life enriched in the arts, thanks to his mother, Terra Lacey. Loyd gravitated to the arts from a young age and began his journey early in life.
Loyd’s faith has also plaid an inspiration part in his works. he converted to the Orthodox Faith.
